Most Likely Pathogens

S. aureus

Group A Strep

Duration of Therapy

5-7 days including oral conversion with Cephalexin PO

Suggested Regimen

Cefazolin 1-2 grams IV q8h

OR

If Mild: Cephalexin 500 mg PO q6h

Penicillin Allergy

Clindamycin 150-450 mg/dose PO q6-8h
