Clindamycin 900 mg IV q8h

*If immediately postpartum (less than 7 days), use gentamicin 1.5-2 mg/kg q8h

Ampicillin 2 g IV then 1 g q4h
**If known to be colonized with GBS.
Ampicillin 2 g IV then 1 g IV q4h
Gentamicin 5-7 mg/kg IV q24h
Metronidazole 500 mg IV q8h
Parenteral therapy should be continued until patient clinically improved, no fundal tenderness and afebrile for 24-48h.
Stepdown to oral therapy thereafter is NOT beneficial.
