Mild Purulent Cellulitis

Initial Empiric Treatment

Cephalexin 500mg PO QID

AND EITHER

Cotrimoxazole DS 2 tablets PO BID

OR

Doxycycline 100mg PO BID

Follow Up

Adjust antibiotics based on culture and susceptibilities

Cephalexin ALONE is preferred for GAS/MSSA
