Antimicrobials
Antimicrobial therapy should be initiated early in the course of the disease leptospirosis is suspected
Benzylpenicillin 1 L/kg (Max. 20L) IV every 4 hours for 7 days
OR
Parenteral Third-Generation Cephalosporins, for example:
Cefotaxime 50 mg/kg every 6 hours for 7 days
For Hepatitis
Discontinue/avoid potentially hepatotoxic medications (like sedatives)
Diet: High calorie, good protein intake, a light diet with fruit drinks and glucose
Vitamin supplements
The Jarisch–Herxheimer reaction may occur after initiation of antibiotics
