Group B Streptococcus (GBS) Prophylaxis

Greater than or equal to 37 weeks gestation and:

  • Positive GBS

  • Previous Infant with GBS disease

  • GBS bacteruria

Unknown GBS status and Intrapartum temperature greater than 38°C

Unknown GBS status and either:

  • Preterm labour (TPTL) less than 37 weeks or

  • Membranes ruptured greater than 18 hours

Received antibiotics for pPROM or TPTL and GBS positive
