Impetigo
Superficial infection of skin primarily caused by Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes and most often affecting young children.
Two clinical forms include non-bullous and bullous impetigo.
Ecthyma
Deeper form of impetigo that results in ulceration and crusting.
Ecthyma is more commonly associated with S. pyogenes than S. aureus.
Folliculitis
Infection of skin and hair follicle to variable depths producing papules and pustules.
Non-bullous Impetigo
Bullous Impetigo
