Not Severely Ill/ Pyelonephritis

Levofloxacin is not listed as an empiric treatment recommendation at BMH for patients with pyelonephritis due to low rate of E.coli susceptibility.

Per BMH policy Levofloxacin will automatically be intherchanged if ordered emprically for pyelonephritis, except in cases of SEVERE allergy.
