Other factors that may confer a higher risk include: diabetes, pregnancy, immunosuppression, insertion of prosthetic device, episode of colic within 30 days before procedure, repeat intervention in less than one month for noninfectious complication, long procedure duration, intraoperative gallbladder rupture, bile spillage, conversion from laparoscopic to open cholecystectomy
