Microbiologic Criteria: Select Any That Apply

2 sets positive for typical organism

Typical organisms

viridans group streptococci
S. bovis
S. aureus
Enterococci
HACEK organisms (Haemophilus, Cardiobacterium, Aggregatibacter, Kingella, and Eikenella)

Persistently positive blood culture for an organism from 2 bottles drawn >12hr apart, or the majority of ≥ 4 bottles positive with first and last sets at least one hour apart

Q fever phase 1 titre >1:800 or single positive culture for Coxiella burnetii

Blood Cultures Pending

If blood culture data is pending, the Modified Duke Criteria cannot be accurately applied
