Critically ill patient with Postoperative IAI, or Recurrent gut perforations, or Anastomotic leak
Severe CA or any HCA IAI and candida isolated from intra-abdominal cultures
Critically ill patient with IAI and candida isolated from intra-abdominal cultures
Community Acquired
Acquired outside of healthcare setting with no recent healthcare exposure
Healthcare associated (HCA)
Acquired more than 48 hours post admission, or hospitalization, surgery, dialysis, residence in long term facility within last 12 months. Can be EARLY (less than 5 days) or LATE (more than 5 days) onset
Critically ill
Septic shock. If patient has tertiary peritonitis and septic shock, please refer to postoperative IAI section.
