This score predicts the probability of Pseudomonas aeruginosa bloodstream isolates in patients with suspected or confirmed gram-negative bloodstream infections (BSI)
It may be utilized in hospitalized patients with complicated urinary tract or intra-abdominal infections
Severely immune compromised host
Severely immune compromised hosts include those with neutropenia, recent chemotherapy, high dose steroids, etc.
Hospital-acquired BSI after >5 days of hospitalization
Prior use of beta-lactam antibiotics within 3-90 days of BSI
Beta-lactam antibiotics include:
Penicillins
Cephalosporins
Carbapenems
Monobactams
Beta-lactam/beta-lactamase inhibitors
