Legionella PNA

Legionella pneumonia is rarely diagnosed due to the difficulty of isolating the pathogens. In rare instances, if it is identified by PCR on respiratory tract samples, urine antigen test or culture, directed therapy can be used.

Levofloxacin and azithromycin are preferred due to highest quality evidence; moxifloxacin can be considered

Duration of therapy should be 10-14 days and 21 days or more in immunocompromised patients

Infectious Diseases consultation is recommended
