Streptococci Recommended Treatment

Recommended Antibiotics

Gentamicin 3-6 mg/kg/day IV every 8hrs

For Enterococci Infection - whole course
For Non-enterococci Infection - 2 weeks

AND

Penicillin G 200'000-300'000 U/kg/day (Max. 12-24 million U) IV every 4hrs

OR

Ampicillin 200-300 mg/kg/day (Max. 12g) IV every 4-6hrs
