Antimicrobials
Hydralazine 0.1-0.3 mg/kg, slow IV over 3-5mins (max: 10mg)
Can repeat every 4-6 hours, OR
4-6 µg/kg/min, continuous infusion (max: 300µg/min)
Onset: 10-20 mins
Duration: 3-8 hours
Advantages:
Effective
Doses can be repeated if necessary
Caveats:
Increase ICP
May cause non-homogenous cerebral perfusion
Tachycardia
Severe headache
Fluid retention
