  • Taken with food; fatty meal increases bioavailability

  • Drug of choice

Mebendazole

  • 100mg Q12H for 3 days, OR

  • 500mg once

  • Drug of choice

OR

Ivermectin 150-200 µg/kg once

  • Taken on an empty stomach with water; safety not established for children <15kg

  • Drug of choice

OR

Nitazoxanide

  • Age 1-3yrs: 100mg Q12H for 3 days

  • Age 4-11yrs: 200mg Q12H for 3 days

  • Age >11yrs: 500mg Q12H for 3 days
