Give oxygen to maintain the SpO₂ >92%
Microbiological diagnosis only indicated for children requiring ICU admission or if no response to first-line treatment
Antimicrobial therapy is not routinely required for preschool – aged children with CAP, because viral pathogens are responsible for the majority of clinical disease
