Pharmacist Consult to pre-arrange outpatient medication coverage
Vancomycin 125 mg q6h (PO or NG) x 10 days
May Consider
Metronidazole
On discharge only if mild episode and patient cannot afford other options
May use diluted IV vancomycin PO or NG if needed as it is difficult to remove powder from capsules (reconstitute 500 mg vial as per directions and then further dilute in 30 mLs of water prior to administration)
