Typically symtoms are low grade and have been present for > 2 months. The pathogens are more likely to include S. aureus and anerobes.
Imaging may be useful if the diagnosis is unclear.
Air-fluid levels may be seen.
Macrolides are not recommended for treatment as they provide inferior coverage.
