Microbiologic Criteria: Select Any That Apply

2 sets positive for typical organism

Typical organisms

viridans group streptococci
S. bovis
S. aureus
Enterococci
HACEK organisms (more correctly, CAKE: Cardiobacterium, Aggregatibacter, Kingella, and Eikenella)

Persistently positive blood culture for an organism from 2 sets drawn >12hr apart, or the majority of ≥ 4 sets positive with first and last sets at least one hour apart

Q fever phase 1 titre >1:800 or single positive culture for Coxiella burnetii

Blood Cultures Pending

If blood culture data is pending, the Modified Duke Criteria cannot be accurately applied
