POTENTIAL SEPSIS WITHOUT LIFE-THREATENING ORGAN DYSFUNCTION

Criteria

SIRS + potential infection + NO evidence of life-threatening organ dysfunction (below)

Ceftriaxone 1 g IV q24h

AND

Azithromycin 500 mg IV q24h

OR

Moxifloxacin 400 mg IV q24h*

*If Penicillin Allergy

SEPSIS WITH LIFE-THREATENING ORGAN DYSFUNCTION

Criteria

Two or more of (qSOFA):
1. Respiratory rate ≥ 22/min
2. Altered mentation
3. Systolic blood pressure ≤ 100 mmHg
OR
Lactate greater than 4 mmol/L

Ceftriaxone 1 g IV q24h

AND

Azithromycin 500 mg IV q24h

OR

Moxifloxacin 400 mg IV q24h*

*If Penicillin Allergy

Vancomycin
