If patient is symptomatic AND there has been microbiological confirmation of Enterobius Vermicularis:

Pyrantel Pamoate*

11mg/kg base

once (repeat dose in 2 weeks)
Maximum: 1 g

*There is no data on safety in children less than 2 years of age therefore benefit should be weighed against potential risks. However this agent has been used in young children and data has not emerged to demonstrate specific risk
