Group A streptococcal infection, treatment (and primary prevention of rheumatic fever)

For older children and adolescents that can use tablets as suspension is unavailable

Less than or equal to 27 kg:
300 mg PO BID

Greater than 27 kg:
600 mg PO BID

Secondary prevention of rheumatic fever

For older children and adolescents that can use tablets as suspension is unavailable

300 mg PO BID (regardless of weight)
