Avoid iron, magnesium, calcium for at least two hours before or two hours after doxycycline administration.
Contraindicated in pregnancy; except for single dose (see Lyme Disease in pregnancy) and not routinely recommended in children <8 years of age except for treatment and prophylaxis for Lyme disease (see Lyme Disease pediatrics)
