Contact/Spore Precautions

Clean hands with alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water before each patient encounter. Soap and water must be used after each encounter.

Wear gloves and gowns when exposure to blood and body fluids, mucous membranes, non-intact skin or potentially infectious material is anticipated.

Dispose of all PPE before leaving the patient care area.

PPE is single use.
