Contact Precautions

Clean hands before and after each patient encounter.

Wear gloves and gowns when exposure to blood and body fluids, mucous membranes, non-intact skin or potentially infectious material is anticipated (i.e., Standard Precautions).

Dispose of all PPE before leaving the patient care area.

PPE is single use.
