Suspected Organisms

S. pyogenes

S. aureus (rarely)

S. agalactiae (rarely)

Recommended Treatment

Penicillin VK 250-500 mg PO QID

OR

Clindamycin 300 mg PO/600 mg IV TID

IF MRSA, ADD

TMP/SMX DS BID
