Expected Outcomes

Decreased risk of pneumococcal and influenza infection/transmission amongst the ALC and CCC patient population.

Surgical splenectomy patients will be appropriately vaccinated, or have vaccination arranged, prior to discharge from hospital.

LOT numbers and expiry date of vaccines will be documented on the patient record in a retrievable format.
