Type of Precaution: Airborne

Single Room:

  • Yes, with negative air flow and door closed

Duration of Precautions:

  • Continue precautions until all lesions have crusted and dried.

Comments:

  • Notify Infection Control

  • Only immune staff should enter the room.

Localized in All Other Patients

Comments:

  • Roommates and staff must be immune to chickenpox.
