Use of G-CSF

Use of G-CSF (filgrastim, pegfilgrastim) is not routinely recommended as adjunctive treatment of uncomplicated febrile neutropenia.

May be considered in patients who are not responding to appropriate antibiotic management and who are developing life-threatening infectious complications (such as severe sepsis or septic shock).
