"Pansusceptible" isolates are sensitive to:

•  Ampicillin

•  Cephalosporins including first generation

•  TMP-SMX

• Fluoroquinolones

•  Broader spectrum beta-lactams

May be resistant to third generation cephalosporins (ESBLs), and rarely to carbapenems (carbapenemase enzymes).

Use fosfomycin and nitrofurantoin for UTI only
