Endocarditis confirmed
Complications identified such as, but not limited to, septic arthritis, osteomyelitis, epidural/paraspinal abscess, intraabdominal abscess etc.
Persistent fever despite 72hrs of appropriate treatment, or sustained bacteremia despite 48 hrs of appropriate treatment.
Prosthetic material present. For example: central venous catheters, tunnelled lines, pacemakers, valves, graphs, prosthetic joints or other prosthetic material.
Source determined to be venous catheter.
Catheter has been promptly removed and repeat blood cultures are negative.
