General Susceptibility

Always susceptible to:

  • Vancomycin

  • Levofloxacin

  • Linezolid

Generally susceptible to:

  • Penicillins

  • Cephalosporins

Variably susceptible to:

  • TMP-SMX

  • Macrolides

  • Clindamycin

Resistance to penicillin and cephalosporins not observed in Newfoundland and Labrador.

For invasive infections, susceptibility profiles with MIC data should be obtained.
