Give Pneumovax 23 X 1 dose now
Notes 1. Revaccination with Pneumovax 23 is recommended ≥ 5 years after the first dose for all immunocompromised patients to boost immunity 2. Revaccination is also recommended every 10 years thereafter ONCE patient turns 65 as immunity wanes in the elderly 3. Patient is eligible for a free Pneumovax 23 at any pharmacy, public health unit or clinic administering vaccines
