Campylobacter spp. are usually susceptible to fluoroquinolones and macrolides though resistance has been described. Most infections are self-limited and antibiotic therapy is not needed.
For more severe infections azithromycin 500 PO Daily x 3 days or ciprofloxacin 500 mg PO BID x 3 days is recommended.
