Human infections due to Group C/G streptococci are much less common than Group A streptococcus and Group B streptococcus. Examples of clinical manifestations include:
Skin infections (cellulitis)
Bacteremia
Endocarditis
Meningitis
Osteomyelitis
Pneumonia
Infections with Group C/G streptocci are commonly seen amongst patients with underlying conditions such are chronic lung or heart disease, diabetes, malignancy, alcoholism, and immunosuppressive therapy.
