In general, Klebsiella oxytoca is susceptible to cephalosporins, piperacillin-tazobactam, fluoroquinolones and aminoglycosides.

In cases of infections due to ESBL producing organisms, carbapenems may be preferred.

Fosfomycin and nitrofurantoin should be used for cystitis only.
