Usual dosing 1-2g IV q8h
Ceftazidime is third generation cephalosporin with broad Gram negative coverage including coverage of Pseudomonas spp. and is generally used for nosocomial infections.
Ceftazidime lacks Gram positive activity compared to other cephalosporins.
