Endocarditis confirmed
Sustained bacteremia
Complications identified such as but not limited to septic arthritis, osteomyelitis, epidural/paraspinal abscess, intraabdominal abscess etc.
Patient has persistent fever despite 72hrs of effective antimicrobial therapy
Prosthetic material present. For example: central venous catheters, tunnelled lines, pacemakers, valves, graphs, prosthetic joints or other prosthetic material.
Source determined to be CVC.
CVC has been removed and repeat blood cultures are negative.
Active malignancy or immune supression
