Pricing

Our mission is to give South African doctors reliable, user friendly, practice management tools at the lowest possible cost.
With the exception of our Enterprise version, Bluebird software is free to doctors that use Bluebird electronic lab reports (If you choose not to use Bluebird's electronic lab reports, the PMS and EMR is R20 000).
Community support via the forum  is also free and there are no mandatory monthly license or support fee.

That said, we believe that there is value to the practice in choosing paid support.
Paid support has 2 legs:
1) Telephone, web and email support.
2) Management of the BBBB

To activate paid support you need to purchase the BBBB (R9 950) and thereafter support costs R300* per month (if you chose not to receive paper labs reports) and R500* (if you chose to receive paper reports in addition to your electronic Bluebird lab reports).
Support is purchased on an annual basis.

We often get asked how we manage to offer incredible quality at such a reasonable price. The answer is threefold:
1) We have been a successful business for more than 15 years and our initial costs have long ago been paid off.
2) We do not employ a sales force (which generally doubles the software cost). This means that we do not come to your practice to give you a demo, rather we expect you to make the decision to try our software by accessing our web resources

You (perhaps with the help of your local IT tech) are able set up a live system without any cost.
3) We charge the labs to send your electronic lab reports (typically 1% of the medical aid payment for the test) and use that fee to subsidise your charges.
